Unity teachers and administration will present two different workshops at the California Charter Schools Conference 2011 Annual Conference.  We are very proud to be able to share the work that we are doing at Unity with charter school teachers and leaders from across the state.  The two workshops are:

• Meaningful Staff Meetings: Creative Collaboration and Teacher Leadership by Ms. Grant
• Building A School Culture  of Data-Driven-Decision-Making and Continuous Improvement by Mr. Castillo

Oakland Unity High School 12th grade seniors have wrapped up their applications to the California State University (CSU) and University of California (UC) systems.   We had a record number of students who were eligible to apply to both systems (86% to CSU and 42% to UC).  Congratulations to you!  Private school applications are up next.

Unity’s College Prep and Advisory classes are critical supports for our students.  Thanks to Mrs. Ramos, Grant, Duros, Paz-Cedillos, and Mr. Treacy.

Oakland Unity High School will be closed Thursday, November 25 – Friday, November 26, 2010.  Classes will resume on Monday, November 29, 2010.  No after school programs will be held Wednesday, November 24, 2010.  All students will be released at 11:30 am.

School will be closed in observance of Veterans Day.
